Hybrid Power Systems for Commercial & Industrial Operations
Reliable, Cost-Competitive Power for Commercial & Industrial Clients

What it is
A fully managed hybrid power system for commercial and industrial operations, integrating solar, battery storage, grid power, and backup generation. Systems are typically sized from 25 kW to 1 MW and are engineered to prioritize the lowest-cost and most reliable energy source at all times.
Xonda designs, finances, builds, owns, and operates each system under long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), eliminating upfront capital requirements while delivering predictable energy costs and uninterrupted power.

Contract: BOO/BOOT‐style PPA, 10-15+ years
Customer Value
-
Cost Predictability & Savings: Avoid high energy charges, peak demand charges, and volatile fuel costs
-
Reliability: Mitigate frequent outages, weak grid transmission, and capacity constraints in Puerto Rico
-
No Heavy Capital Outlay: Xonda bears the CAPEX; customer pays for power consumed under PPA
-
Peak & Demand Charge Relief: Reduce or eliminate charges tied to maximum kW demand and peak hour usage
-
Efficiency via Design: Optional tilt systems increase daylight capture; solar + battery reduces dependence on expensive grid or diesel top-ups
-
Sustainability & ESG: Lower emissions, improve resilience, align with PR’s drive for cleaner, more reliable energy
Ideal Use Cases
-
Manufacturing plants, pharmaceutical facilities, cold storage with large continuous loads
-
Facilities in areas with grid instability or frequent outages
-
Businesses facing high demand charges or time-of-use / peak hour pricing
-
Institutions or campuses with large roof or land availability
-
Companies looking for long-term energy cost mitigation and carbon footprint reduction
Business Model
-
IPP PPA – 10-15+ year contracts where Xonda finances, builds, owns, operates the system
-
Pricing – Based on installed capacity (kW) and system availability; power rate fixed over contract term
-
Financial Strength Requirement – Offtaker must be financially solid or backed by credible guarantors / credit supports so that Xonda can secure project financing (debt, equity, etc.)
